Plans have been submitted to Moray Council to bring an exciting new sport to Moray Sports Centre. The proposal would see two semi-open padel courts developed on the currently unused ground behind the centre on Linkwood Road, Elgin.
Designed in line with official LTA guidance, the courts would feature open sides with a covered frame, creating a modern and accessible space for players. Padel, one of the fastest-growing racquet sports, blends elements of tennis and squash and is typically played in doubles on an enclosed court where walls are part of the game.
If approved, the development would introduce a fresh and social sporting experience for the local community, further enhancing the range of activities available at Moray Sports Centre.
