What happened this month?
We’re sat here writing our November newsletter and wondering how it’s already December. The whole month passed in the blink of an eye. On the plus side though, we’re glad to be busy since we re-opened and there has been lots of exciting things happening here at MSC. We’ve recapped November’s highlights for you so have a read below and let us know what you think!
Fitness Training Scotland
A lot of aspiring fitness instructors who signed up for their level 2 certification completed the majority of the course online due to COVID restrictions, however, the final assessment had to be done in front of assessors. At the start of November, our colleague Adam offered up MSC and the students could FINALLY finish their assessment. All of them achieved their certifications – well done!
Sports Development
In addition to new classes, we have teamed up with the Elgin Youth Café to provide activity sessions every Friday until the Christmas Holidays. Those participating are getting a taster of different activities each week from circuits and indoor cycling to table tennis and badminton. If you would like to enquire about organised activities here at the centre please email sports@moraysportscentre.co.uk. Prime-ability classes are also back up and running, you can check out the timetable here.
Gillian’s Event
We were so happy to be able to support Marie Curie through the event for Gillian. Raising over £2000 for Charity in such tough times shows what a great community we have here at the Moray Sports Centre. We’d like to give a special shout out to Chantal for her efforts in organising the event.
Everything ran so smoothly on the day but as with any event, for that to happen took a great amount of work behind the scenes. Read more about it by clicking here.
Disability Scotland
We’ve been busy working with Scottish Cycling to enable us to offer disability cycling hires and we are now working up videos of our adapted bikes to add to our website. Launching in February 2021 you’ll be able to hire adapted bikes from us for an hour, day or weekend to enjoy some family cycling time.
