I began playing tennis at the age of 9 and soon realised that it was something that I would like to make more of than just a casual hobby.
With that in mind I started working at Moray Sports Centre, where my time was initially split between performing the roles of a part time Sports Assistant, and those of a trainee coach under an LTA approved apprenticeship. My sports assistant duties included helping run school holiday camps and host birthday parties, all of which allowed me to hone my skills in working with a variety of ages of children but my passion remained on the court where I greatly enjoyed supporting in the delivery of tennis coaching sessions.
While fulfilling these duties, it enabled me to gain the experienced I required to work my way through the theory and practical portions of my official tennis coaching qualification, which takes us right up to today.
I am now a fully qualified and accredited Level 2 Tennis Coach and competitive player representing both Elgin and Moray Sports Centre, and above all, I am eager to pass on the knowledge I have gained to those who would like to join me in my role as Tennis Coach at Moray Sports Centre.
